INTEGRATED APPROACH

The integrated solution comprises a seamless combination of bridge, engine-room and cargo-handling simulators. These can be used either in stand alone mode for training in specific functional competencies or in combined mode for a holistic perspective of the ship. The simulators are housed in a single complex and are networked to each other. Each simulator is capable of supporting the full extent of training requirements for all ranks, and incorporates maximum design flexibility, enabling modifications to suit different requirement. A thematic representation of an integrated simulation centre is as given:

BRIDGE SIMULATOR

A Full Mission Navigation Simulator with 360o of horizontal visualization employing a unique flexi-configuration system that allows the simulator to be run either as two independent 180o bridges or as a single 360o bridge.

FULL MISSION NAVIGATION SIMULATOR WITH 2X1800 VISUALIZATIONS

The same simulator can be used as either a 3600 full mission simulator, or, as two full mission simulators, each with 1800 visualization channels, that can be used for two independent training exercises at the same time. A simple partitioning of the space available and the addition of required consoles makes this possible.

CUSTOMIZED VESSELS AND ROUTES

ARI can replicate own-ships to the specifications of actual vessels in a company fleet These could be container vessels, bulkers, tankers, car carriers, gas carriers etc. operating across specific routes and sailing areas.

ENGINE SIMULATOR

The ARI Full Mission Engine Room simulator can be based on multiple engine types as per company ships. Up to two engine types can be simulated in hardware and software with minimal physical configuration changes. Software-only models of more engine types can also be provided. Auxiliary machine models and interfaces can be replicated as per actual company vessels.
The simulator comprises three main sections: Engine Control Room, Simulated machinery space, and Instructor station. Additionally, it is desirable to have a debriefing class room.

CARGO SIMULATOR

ARI offers cargo handling simulators that comprise a Cargo Control room, an Instructor Station, and individual Trainee Stations.
The cargo control consoles can use flexible touch screen interfaces so that exact instrumentation for every class of ship can be reproduced on the CCR. A highly modular underlying architecture enables customers to gradually build up the scope of their simulation installations over a convenient period of time. All cargo simulators are available in variants that range from desktop-based simulation modules to Full Mission cargo handling simulators comprising a cargo control room, an Instructor station and individual trainee stations.

Individual models of available Liquid Cargo Handling Simulators are:

  • Oil tanker Panamax

  • Oil tanker VLCC

  • Fully refrigerated gas carrier

  • Semi pressurized gas carrier

  • Fully pressurized gas carrier

  • Chemical tanker
