COMPONENTS AND FEATURES
105,000 Mt SDWT.
Six sets of cargo tanks (P&S each) & One set of Slop
tanks (P&S).
Six sets of segregated ballast tanks. Total Segregated ballast
capacity 40,000 Mt.
Inert gas generation and distribution system.
3 steam turbine driven Cargo Oil pumps of rated 3 capacity 2800
m /hr.
Vac-Strip type cargo tank stripping system.
1 reciprocating positive displacement pump for cargo tank/line
stripping.
1 each eductor for cargo and ballast system.
Crude oil washing system incorporating a steam heater for water
washing.
Fixed and portable gas detection systems.
The simulator model is equipped with an 'on-line' cargo monitoring
system which continuously calculates the vessels' drafts, trim &
list, statical stability and longitudinal strength based on the
instantaneous distribution of weight throughout the ship. In the
'off-line mode, the monitoring system can be used as a 'loadicator'
to create and test various loading conditions.
The ARI LCHS assists in the development of 'fault finding and corrective
action' skills by including a large library of faults. These faults
can be introduced by the instructor at strategic points during the
conduct of exercises where their effect can be best emphasized.
Alternatively these faults can be introduced at the exercise creating
stage for automatic introduction at the appropriate time. Further,
the faults library can be extended/modified as required by the instructor
to meet different learning objectives or highlight certain aspects
of cargo operations based on his own experiences/company policy
etc.
