The ARI Engine Room Part Task Trainer is a powerful solution for training Marine Engineers at Watch Keeping and Operational levels.

This ARI training solution simulates the MAN-B&W 6S60MC 6 cylinder, 2 stroke, reversible, slow speed marine diesel main engine of firing order 1,5,3,4,2,6 which is directly coupled to a fixed pitch propeller, and auxiliary systems that accompany such an installation in a tanker main engine room.

The simulator comprises SOFTWARE based on realistic and rigorous mathematical models, and HARDWARE that includes a network of PCs and an ergonomically designed console.

The ARI Engine Room Part Task Trainer can be used in stand-alone mode with an instructor acting as the bridge control, or coupled to a Bridge simulator for interactive training.

A stand-alone version for self training is also available.


STCW ’95

The ARI Engine Room Part Task Trainer can be used to demonstrate the following STCW-95 competency requirements:

1.   Table A-III/1.4 Maintain a safe engineering watch.

2.   Table A-III/1.6 Operate main and auxiliary machinery and associated control systems.

3.   Table A-III/1.7 Operate pumping systems and associated control systems.

4.   Table A-III/1.8 Operate alternators, generators, and control systems.

5.   Table A-III/1.9 Maintain marine engineering systems, including control systems.

6.   Table A-III/2.1 Plan and schedule operations.

7.   Table A-III/2.2  Start up and shut down main propulsion and auxiliary machinery, including associated

      systems.

8.   Table A-III/2.4 Maintain safety of engine equipment, systems and services.

9.   Table A-III/2.5 Manage fuel and ballast operations.

10. Table A-III/2.10 Detect and identify the cause of machinery malfunctions and correct faults.

  5. Warming up procedure for steam machineries.

  6. Facility of changing fuel oil property and analyzing its effect.s

  7. Main engine, auxiliary boiler and auxiliary generator can be run on diesel oil or heavy oil.

  8. Ultra realistic start and running machinery sounds.

INSTRUCTOR STATION

  1. Total control over the simulation environment.

  2. Data and event recording with replay facilities in real-time or accelerated mode.

  3. Exercise designer.

  4. Generation of errors in Trainee Workspace.

  5. Injection of faults and change of default settings possible at will.
