The ARI GMDSS Simulator meets all IMO requirements
for simulators to be used for approved GMDSS certificate courses
in accordance with the STCW'95 Code. Up to 12 student stations can
be connected to the system and operated simultaneously in real-time.
The ARI GMDSS Simulator is designed to meet global needs for a cost-effective
and user-friendly training system. Trainees can familiarise themselves
with and exhaustively use equipment normally found on a GMDSS compliant
vessel. All systems accurately replicate the functionality and operations
as existing on-board. A simple radar is fitted
as well to train on SAR scenarios.
Students can be trained on communication and SAR aspects of a distress
situation in keeping with required procedures and protocols. Instructor-to-trainee
and trainee-to-trainee communication is supported, enabling trainees
to act as ships/shore stations.
The system has been developed to provide complete training on:
General communication of Maritime Mobile Service (MMS).
General Communication of Satellites System.
General Concept on NBDP-TOR communications.
Procedures and practical use of the equipment comprising GMDSS.
